Your responsibilities
- Processing and posting of day-to-day transactions in the general ledger
- Calculating and posting provisions, accruals, and intercompany transactions
- Reconciling balance sheet and income statement accounts and performing account analyses
- Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS
- Preparing statistics and reports
- Supporting the optimization and further development of processes and standards within the accounting department
Your qualifications
- Successfully completed commercial apprenticeship, ideally with additional training as a certified accountant (IHK), or a comparable qualification
- Substantial professional experience in financial accounting, ideally at an internationally active company
- Very good knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and good knowledge of IFRS
- Proficiency in ERP systems, ideally SAP HANA
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
- A hands-on approach and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with existing processes
- Strong teamwork skills and a high degree of initiative
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
