Basler is a leading international manufacturer of imaging components for computer vision applications such as cameras, lenses, frame grabbers, software as well as embedded vision solutions, customized products and consulting services. The products are used in a variety of computer vision markets, including factory automation, medical, traffic, logistics, retail, and robotics. Founded in 1988, the Basler Group employs approximately 1000 people at its headquarters in Ahrensburg (near Hamburg) and other locations in Europe, Asia and North America.

Your responsibilities

Managing the initiatives and activities listed below. The overarching goal is to generate revenue by effectively managing specific Basler Inc. resellers, distributors and integrators within the United States, Mexico and South America. Resellers, distributors and integrators herein after called “Channel Partners”.

1. Revenue:
  • Meet or exceed revenue quota and achieve YOY revenue and market share growth by managing and supporting existing channel partners.
  • Build relationships with channel partners to ensure that all key contacts are fully engaged and committed to growing Basler business
  • Establish Basler sales goals with channel partners, assist channel partners in achieving goals and hold channel partners responsible for developing strategies and implementing actions and activities to meet or exceed goals
  • Hold regular performance reviews with channel partners and identify areas for improvement. Establish and enforce consequences if goals are not met
  • Maintain knowledge of Basler and competitive products and have the ability to present the unique advantages of Basler
  • Create and maintain a channel partner training program and ensure that channel partners are appropriately trained on Basler products and USPs – Partner Training Portal, webinars
  • Re-categorize or eliminate unproductive channel partners
  • Use creativity and perseverance to overcome challenges and increase sales with channel partners

2. Administration:
  • Maintain updated channel partner agreements
  • Responsible for submitting timely and accurate forecasts and any other required information including utilization of salesforce.com for all channel partner information
  • Provide feedback on the marketing of new or established products, competitive activities and suggestions for new products, product features and ways of doing business
  • Effectively utilize support resources locally and at headquarters in Germany
  • Partner Training Portal – collaborative effort of content and material in line with global partnerships (choose content and distribute)

3. Other:
  • Develop sufficient application and technical knowledge to be effective in identifying viable opportunities and assist channel partners in winning business
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the company via filtered input from channel partners to help steer the company’s technical and commercial direction

Your qualifications 

  • Four year college degree is preferred but not required.
  • Extensive experience in using Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience in using Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Ability to take ownership of problems and opportunities and seeing them through to successful resolution.
  • Must possess strong phone and email communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and flexibility to adapt and take on new tasks and responsibilities in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong team focus.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Technical affinity and ability to develop basic knowledge of computer vision components and vision applications.

This position is based in our US operation located in Exton, PA. Unfortunately, there is no relocation package offered with this position.
