Position Summary
Basler Inc. is seeking an experienced, results-driven Human Resources Manager to establish and manage Human Resources policy, systems and processes and guide the leadership team on HR matters. Basler Inc. is the US-based subsidiary of Basler AG responsible for the North and South American region. This high-growth subsidiary will have more than 40 people by the end of 2026, creating an exciting opportunity for an HR professional to build and own the HR function, ensuring fulfillment of the increasing HR needs of the organization. This individual contributor role reports into the Manager Director of the company and will be supported by the central HR organization of the parent company in Germany. Job Responsibilities
As the HR Manager at Basler Inc., you will collaborate with the headquarters HR department to develop and implement key human resources strategies ensuring compliance and alignment with our organizational goals. Your core responsibilities include:
- Strategic Talent Acquisition: Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top-tier talent, ensuring alignment with company goals and culture. Assist leadership in defining job roles, descriptions and candidate profiles, as well as posting job listings, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews with qualified candidates.
- Seamless Onboarding: Lead and refine the onboarding process to foster positive first impressions and ensure new hires are equipped for success.
- Employee Advocacy: Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, providing prompt, fair, and confidential resolutions to maintain trust and satisfaction.
- Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution: Mediating disputes, handling disciplinary actions, assist leadership in managing terminations, and fostering open communication.
- Engagement and Retention: Design and implement innovative programs to boost employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Training and Development: Oversee training programs aimed at career development and skill enhancement, supporting employees in achieving their professional goals. For this responsibility, you’ll be able to leverage Basler’s internal innovative online Academy tool, allowing you to create virtual learning journeys as well.
- Leadership Development: Identify leadership opportunities and create impactful succession planning strategies to ensure organizational growth and continuity.
- Compliance and Policy Management: Ensure employee compliance by utilizing the internal Academy to monitor the continuous participation of all employees in the mandatory training courses. Periodically review and update Basler Inc. HR procedures, policies and the employee handbook, proactively identifying and implementing any missing or new content.
- Performance Management: Design, implement and oversee a robust performance review process, setting clear benchmarks and guiding managers to foster productivity and accountability. Assist leadership in employee performance improvement planning and execution when needed.
- Compensation and Benefits: Administering pay structures, managing payroll, designing and administering benefits programs in conjunction with third party partners, and overseeing rewards.
- Workforce Analytics: Analyze workforce data to identify trends, address gaps, and recommend improvements that align with business objectives.
Coaching and Mentorship: Provide expert coaching and mentorship to employees and supervisors, empowering them to excel in their roles. - HR Reporting: Working with headquarters HR to create detailed HR reports and dashboards for senior management, providing actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making.
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- 5+ years of full-time experience in human resources, including at least 2 years as a generalist with a wide range of HR function responsibilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in HR management systems (HRMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (<10%), including within the region and occasional visits to company headquarters in Germany.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer. We are currently unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa.
Nice-to-Have:
- Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR.
- Experience in organizational change management or diversity and inclusion programs.
- Familiarity with HR analytics tools and data-driven decision-making.
- Machine Vision industry experience
- Experienced in working within a global organization; comfortable navigating cultural nuances and virtual collaboration across time zones.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills with a natural executive presence.
