Your responsibilities
Strategic and operational development of quality management
- Leading and establishing the QM management team and positioning the department within the organisation
- Defining departmental objectives and QM objectives derived from the corporate strategy
- Design, organisation and continuous improvement of processes within the Basler Group at national and international level
- Design and further development of the quality management strategy in close collaboration with the Board, senior management and macro-process managers
- Company-wide, international implementation of QM strategies, standards and methods
- Design and delivery of QM workshops and training across all business areas
- Strengthening the quality culture through lean and quality methods, as well as continuous efficiency improvements
- Identification of potential for optimisation in organisation and processes, and support for implementation
- Introduction and further development of effectiveness measurements and statistical methods
- Coordination of group-wide product quality initiatives
Responsibilities as Quality Management Representative (QMR)
- Maintaining and further developing ISO 9001 certification
- Establishing and further developing an Integrated Management System
- Ensuring internal and external audits
- Coordinating with certification bodies and external consultants
- Training staff to become internal auditors
- Developing and maintaining the online quality management manual
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, guidelines and processes – including for future markets
- Point of contact for audits by customers and other business partners
Leadership & Organisation
- Providing professional and managerial guidance to staff in quality management
- Planning staffing requirements and overseeing the recruitment, development and training of staff
- Fostering an open, trusting culture of communication and feedback
- Creating an attractive and performance-enhancing working environment through values-based leadership
Your profile
- A successfully completed degree in engineering, natural sciences or economics, or equivalent training and experience
- Ideally, additional qualifications in lean management, as well as initial strategic and operational management experience
- Several years of solid professional experience in quality management, preferably across different functional areas and in an international, industrial context
- Experience with ISO-based quality management systems (in particular ISO 9001)
- Excellent knowledge of lean management methods as well as process analysis and design
- Practical experience in project and change management
- Excellent strategic, conceptual and analytical skills
- Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills
- High level of consultancy expertise and the ability to inspire others regarding QM and Lean topics
- Intercultural competence and a structured, systematic approach to work
- Fluency in spoken and written German and English
- Willingness to travel for occasional business trips
