Starting immediately, Full-time with 40 hours peer week

Your responsibilities

As an Operations Controller, you will primarily work for our Operations organization as a Finance Business Partner in Controlling. In an international environment with SAP as the inventory management system, you will create transparency regarding product costs, inventories, and earnings effects. You will analyze costs and deviations, initiate and support measures to improve margins, and work with Accounting to ensure the correct valuation of inventories and accurate P&L effects. 

Product costs, costing & variance analyses (SAP S/4HANA)

  • Owner of the product costing policy in accordance with IFRS in close cooperation with Accounting
  • Implementation and further development of product costing in SAP, including standard to actual
  • Analysis of product costs (standard/actual)  
  • Identification of cost drivers in bills of materials, work plans, routings
  • Support with topics relevant to monthly/annual

 

Finance Business Partnering for Operations

  • Sparring partner for Operations on performance, efficiency, and cost issues
  • Preparation and moderation of regular performance reviews (monthly/quarterly), including root cause analysis and action tracking
  • Support for initiatives to increase margins and productivity  

 

Planning, forecasting, and KPI transparency

  • Participation in budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year planning for operations (cost centers,
    product costs, investments, headcount)
  • Development and refinement of KPIs/dashboards
  • Continuous improvement of reporting processes and data quality in SAP S/4HANA 

 

Your qualifications

  • Completed degree in economics (e.g., business administration, finance, controlling, or industrial engineering) or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in inventory-related accounting, operations/plant controlling, or production-related controlling
  • Practical experience in SAP S/4HANA in the controlling/costing environment, ideally product cost calculation and understanding of material ledger/actual costing
  • Experience with standard cost setups, cost component split, production/overhead absorption
  • Very good analytical skills and a structured, independent way of working, high affinity for data and processes, and a pragmatic, hands-on approach
  • Business partner mentality
  • Very good German and English skills
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 25% travel activity)
